Privacy Policy

The milliApps apps are designed to be private by default. This page explains, in plain language, what information is (and is not) collected when you use them.

No ads, no tracking

No advertising, no analytics, no tracking

No milliApps app carries advertising, analytics, tracking identifiers, or a third-party SDK that collects anything about you.

Most of the apps go further and collect nothing whatsoever. Two — milliWatched and milliBooks — keep your diary and your library on a server, and say so below rather than burying it.

Apps that collect nothing

milliGames (milliSolitaire, milliWordHunt, milliWords, milliScrambler, milliSweeper, milliSudoku and milli5x5), milliColorFlash, milliWorkout, milliIntake, milliQuotes and milliWeather do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.

  • No account registration
  • No analytics or usage tracking
  • No advertising or tracking SDKs
  • No collection of device identifiers for tracking
  • No sharing of data with third parties
  • Your content and progress sync to your own iCloud — not to any developer-controlled server

milliWatched — the exception

milliWatched has a server, and it holds your diary, watchlist, chosen streaming services, follows, blocks and settings. What it does not hold is an identity you can be traced by.

  • No email address, no password, no username — your identity is a private code kept in your device's Keychain, stored on the server only as a hash
  • Location is country only, and only to work out streaming availability and release dates
  • People who follow you see watched titles, ratings and comments; dates and viewing methods are opt-in and off by default
  • Deletion is in the app, immediate and irreversible
  • Still no analytics, no ads, no tracking and no third-party SDKs

milliBooks — the same approach

milliBooks works the same way as milliWatched. Its server holds your library — the books you have added, whether you own them and have read them, and the dates you set — so it follows you across your devices. It holds nothing that identifies you.

  • No email address, no password, no username — your identity is a private code kept in your Keychain, stored on the server only as a hash
  • No location, and nothing shared with other people
  • To fill in a book's title, author and cover, the server looks up its ISBN with public book databases; only the ISBN is sent, never anything about you
  • Still no analytics, no ads, no tracking and no third-party SDKs

Storage & iCloud sync

For every app other than milliWatched and milliBooks, your settings and content (completed levels, Daily streaks, logged workouts, saved quotes) are stored locally on your device and synced to your personal iCloud account so they carry across your devices. This data is never accessed by the developer — it stays within your own iCloud storage.

Those apps make no network requests of their own to developer servers. milliWeather asks a weather service for a forecast, and milliWatched and milliBooks talk to their own servers, described above. milliRunRoute plans routes on your device, but first downloads map data for the area around your start point from its own server. That request carries the location and radius, and nothing that identifies you; the server uses it only to pick the map data to send back, and does not store it or anything else about you. Runs you save go to Apple Health, not to us.

In-app purchases

Some apps offer optional in-app purchases (such as extra game packs, daily-puzzle unlocks, or hint packs). These are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer never sees or stores your payment details, and no personal data is collected to deliver them.

milliWatched is free, with no in-app purchases, no subscription and no ads. Refunds for any purchase are handled by Apple.

Notifications

If an app offers a reminder (such as a daily-puzzle nudge) and you opt in, it schedules a local notification on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, and no data leaves your device to deliver it.

Children

None of the apps are directed at children, and none of them ask for age, name, or any other identifying detail — so nothing is collected from a child that is not collected from anyone else, which for most of the apps is nothing at all.

Changes to this policy

If the privacy practices of the milliApps apps change, this page will be updated before (or at the time) any changes take effect. Apps with a website of their own also publish their own privacy policy there.
